Weekend Wrap Up - April 4th

It's been quite a while since we have had the time to create a blog post, but given the events of this last week, we had no choice but to carve out the time to do so.  This week we had the opportunity to help honor and celebrate the life of a man who inspired countless others throughout his lifetime including several of the members of the Stylized Events Team.  Simon Kaplan, founder of Crest Furniture, a World War Two veteran and recipient of The Purple Heart, left behind a legacy that anyone would be proud of. We were humbled to be able to take part in coordinating a celebration of his life and career and could think of no better way than to turn his fully functioning distribution center into a venue decked out in red, white and blue in honor and appreciation of his service to our country.

But this week didn't end there! No, we also had the privelege to cap off the week with two addtional events hosted by The Guy Fieri Foundation in honor and appreciation of veterans and first respoders.   The red, white and blue was out in full force this last week, and we couldn't have felt more blessed to have been a part of it.

So, you see, we really had no choice but to share with everyone our amazing and truly humbling week we had.

Distribution Center to Banquet Hall

So, how do you fittingly host hundreds of people in a distribution center, so that they can pay their respects to a man like Simon?  Well, take a look at some of the images below and you'll get an idea.

Looks like a pretty nice venue for any affair if you ask us ... just don't peek behind the curtains!!

Ok... Here's a peek behind those curtains...

Both of these events were centered around the Red, White, and Blue!

Featuring blue linens, accented by alternating red and white napkins.  For Centerpiecs we utilized white lanterns and fish bowl vases with red & white flowers.  The taller white lanterns provided some height to the sight lines through the open spaces of the venues, without interfereing with anyone's view.  While the fishbowl vases were low to the tables allowing for unimpeded views and cross table conversation, while the floral arangements worked to soften everything up a bit.  And Yep! We did the Balloons too!

All in all this was truly a fun and amazing couple of days and we were absolutely ecstatic to be a part of it.
